High Bay Lighting Fixtures
Whether a low- or high-bay lighting fitting is needed depends on the type of space in a building that should be lit. High bay lighting is suitable for illuminating large areas, where the light fitting needs be position at least 6 metres from the floor and are commonly found in buildings with large internal spaces such as warehouses, factories, sports halls, train stations and aircraft hangers. High bay light fittings provide the correct spread of light when the light fixture is placed far away from the area to be illuminated.
If a low-bay light fitting is used in a place where a high-bay light fitting is more appropriate, the light cascading from the low-bay light fitting will be too diffuse with insufficient illumination.
Because high-bay fittings are used in industrial locations, they are are designed to give heavy-duty, rugged, long-lasting lighting performance with low-maintenance in mind.
