Harlow Group Ltd is one of the leading UK manufacturers of precision sheet metal components, products and electro-mechanical assemblies. Forming in 1975, and now with several decades of accumulated experience, in-house facilities include prototype work, CNC fabrications and laser profiling, together with a full range of painting and powder coating metal treatments.
The Challenge
The Harlow Group contacted Green Business Light seeking an energy efficient lighting solution to replace the outdated sodium low bays and fluorescent lights located in the works area of their production and warehouse buildings in Harlow, Essex (approximately 40,000 square meters in total). They wanted to:
- Significantly enhance lighting quality in production areas
- Provide a quick return on investment
- Have light fixtures with automatic controls
- Qualify for a Carbon Trust interest-free loan
