A GREEN BUSINESS LIGHT CASE STUDY
The proposal - We were approached by a frozen food producer who had a cold-storage warehouse building that used an old, inefficient sodium high-bay lighting system
What we did - After taking some brief details and explaining the options, Green Business Light arranged visits from specialist industrial lighting suppliers who undertook a full site survey, provided trial demonstrations of lighting solutions and calculated the savings from new lighting schemes.
The outcome - The new lighting system saved approximately 50% on direct electricity usage with further significant indirect savings arising from the much lower heat load in the refrigerated areas. This new lighting system also required zero maintenance and the payback time was calculated at 18 months with savings in excess of £1000 per month.
