A GREEN BUSINESS LIGHT CASE STUDY
The proposal - Green Business Light was approached by the site manager of an electronics component warehouse with a request to help them reduce their energy consumption. The warehouse used approximately 350 sodium high bay lights (with lamps rated at 400 Watts each) which were activated for the equivalent of 24 hours a day, 300 days per year.
What we did - Green Business Light prepared a free draft report detailing the energy and cost savings that would be made from installing new energy efficient lighting fixtures. This report outlined payback periods of 18 & 24 months based on the direct energy savings of two different lighting options.
The outcome - With this information on payback times, the site manager was able to request a budget for the project and came back to Green Business Light to instruct us to obtain quotations from members of our own UK-wide supplier network.
