The LED approach uses 1/3 of the energy, contains no mercury, is a sympathetic constant light and lasts 5 times longer.

A downlight luminaire is a fitting which will light for 35-50,000 hours. Once in it will not need to be replaced for over ten years of normal use.

Because the entire fitting is part of the heatsinking structure, the luminaire is highly efficient and more effective than a simple lamp replacement.

Additional Specs:

Because these light sources are integral to the luminaire these downlights fulfil Part L requirements to have a low energy light which cannot simply be swapped out for a halogen lamp.
